You are very familiar with ordering from The Profile Store, why did you decide to ship your last order by sea freight?
- We wanted to place a larger order at the end of last year to stock-up our store room for 2015. I hold some stock in a store room here. If the orders I place are too small they end-up costing a lot in freight. I have gained a good understanding of what promo-items get used in our business, therefore I decided to place a larger order. My experience with the freight cost using express freight made me decide to contact the Profile Store and ask about alternative shipment methods. How did you experience the shipping process and the collaboration with the Profile Store?
- It was no more difficult than placing a "normal" order. Once the order was placed, I indicated in the comments to the Profile Store team that I wanted to have the items shipped by sea. From then on they did everything for me. They came back to me with the cost and relative saving and organized a thought out process. I was updated with the progress of my delivery and provided an estimated delivery date.

The lead time was 60 days but the cost saving was substantial, what is required to make this work?
- It requires you to understand your business, what the demand for promo-items are and possibilities for storage. If so, this option is a very sensible one.
 
Jonas elaborates; “it helps to have foresight in to what you are doing over the coming months. The more organized you and the key sales people are, the easier this will be. The benefits are great, saving 68% in freight is very good and considering the distance from Sweden to Australia, saving on freight is key. My other tip is to look at your year ahead and place one large order, you can always do "top-up" orders throughout the year if you run-out of something.”
